ATHICA is calling on our community to take part in the Cigar Box Challenge to help ensure that we can keep providing our essential platform for artists of all kinds. Participate as an artist, attendee, purchaser, or sponsor. The Cigar Box Challenge culminates on December 14, 2024 in a fun evening of food, beverage, music, and unique cigar box creations that will highlight the creative ingenuity of our artist community, available to be purchased for $60.
Our annual budget is tiny, we are all-volunteer, and we strive to support our community of artists and art lovers with free and accessible opportunities.
Without your support in 2023-24, we would not have been able to showcase the work of 201 exhibiting artists, 8 emerging and established curators, 3 artists- and artist-teams in-residence, and over 115 performing and presenting multidisciplinary artists. Eleven exhibitions and over 80 events were presented to the art-loving public. Help us keep it going by participating in the Cigar Box Challenge as an artist, attendee, purchaser, or sponsor. All proceeds will help ensure that ATHICA can survive to continue supporting artists and artlovers.

- Call for Artists: All are welcome to sign up here today to participate as a Cigar Box Challenge artist. Transform a cigar box into your own unique offering that will be put up for sale for $60 each in order to benefit ATHICA. Perks include a $75 perk package and the chance to win cash prizes for best-in-show and in five categories.

- Join the Cigar Band: Your $10 donation will ensure your entry to the Cigar Box Challenge event at 7:00 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Food, beverage, music, and unique cigar box creations showing off what we can do when we put our minds to it. Bonus: a cigar band for your personal adornment when you arrive at the event.
