Overview: We speak every day and often effortlessly. Speaking is an act of amazing choreography involving the mind, the body and breath, and speech gestures. Come learn how to use these components for maximum impact!

Application: In any context, speech is our greatest tool for connection with others. This course will offer tools to enhance your speaking and to be more observant of the speech we hear around us!

Structure: Participants will engage in an active discovery of their speech tools in the morning and will build to a one-minute demonstration in the afternoon, receiving feedback from coach and classmates.

Preparation: While not required, it is highly recommended that participants bring a piece of text that they can work with during the class. This might be a message, a poem, song lyrics, a monologue, or other material that is personally meaningful.

About the Instructor: Leslie Gordon is a linguist and speech coach with local business Leslie Gordon Speech Coaching, LLC. She is also a certified teacher of Knight-Thompson Speechwork, a rigorous, curious and playful approach to speech and accent training.
