Tatsuya Nakatani is an avant-garde percussionist, composer, and an artist of sound. Active internationally since the 1990s, Nakatani has spent decades refining and developing his sound as an arrangement of formations of vibrations, incorporated in shimmering layers of silence and texture. Within this contemporary work, one can still recognize the dramatic pacing, formal elegance and space (ma) felt in traditional Japanese music.

Austin Engelhardt is an artist whose work explores music as a living form of communication. His practice centers on the immediacy of performance—where sound, gesture, and interaction create meaning in real time. Drawing on both notated and improvised traditions, he develops pieces that invite performers to engage deeply with listening, collaboration, and spontaneity.
