Salmon Tubes (Kyle MacKinnel and Jon Vogt)

Headliner Salmon Tubes is an electro-acoustic improvisation duo from Athens, Georgia, made up of Kyle MacKinnel and Jon Vogt. To date, they have collaborated visually and musically as members of Sonic Divination and Brooms of Fantasia. Their separate evolving music endeavours have included frog like leaf, CALL, come, Oceanic Sound Research, Solution Cave, and Dark Wale. Salmon Tubes represents the expression of multiple instruments (salmon) carried electronically through a narrow system of tubes (a heavily processed signal path) used to bridge here to there across massive dams of intelligible thought and understanding, effectively transporting nature through the built environment back upstream and back into dream.

Ihlyatt (Josh Anderson)

J Anderssen is an experimental sound and visual artist from Athens, GA who performs under the project name Ihlyatt. His visual work ranges from 16mm film and analog video installations to painting, photography and other mixed-media pieces. He describes the music and sound art aspect of his work as “abstract electronic,” using a mixture of samples, synth and guitar heavily manipulated by various effects and rearranged to create a textural sonic space that envelops the listener.

Other Voices, Other Rooms (Wyatt Nicholson)

After playing bass in various Punk Rock bands Wyatt started DJing under the name Other Voices, Other Rooms 20 years ago. “DJing led me to buying my first sampler, from there it was a short leap to analog synthesizers and drum machines. I like to use audio inputs on the synthesizers to filter and warp tape and drum machine sound sources.” He is influenced by House Music, Rap, and the blurry guitars of the Shoegaze era.
