Queer Abolitionist Drive-in Film Series

Ronika McClain, Christee Imogen Henry, and Alden DiCamillo, in affiliation with Southerners on New Ground, Athens Cultural Affairs Committee, Rabbit Hole Studios, Athens Mutual Aid Network, ATHICA, and Lemon Drop Studio present a series of films curated by Ronika McClain to be shown outdoors via a drive-in theater provided by Rabbit Hole Studio. These films present the history and nuance of queer abolition of systems of policing, incarceration, and state-driven debilitation.

Desire (June 25th): 8 PM – 12 AM
Shakedown (Leilah Weinraub), THE LIVING END (Gregg Araki)
These two films  show queer desire in all its perverse, frustrating, problematic, wild and untameable glory.
