Athens Institute for Contemporary Art is proud to present Male Purviews, an exhibition of artwork in a variety of media, all of which explore the impact of maleness on contemporary art and provide an opportunity for viewers to reevaluate their conceptions of gender from the XY side of things.
Participating Artists
The exhibit features works by twelve men and women, ranging from well-known professionals to emerging artists, four of whom are from far flung states, the rest of whom are local. Bob Abernathy, James Barsness, Neil Bender, Jodie Coston, Judy Cuddihee, John W. English, Dennis Harper, Kathryn Jill Johnston, Mark Melonas, Ben McCormick, John Morris and Ryan Roth are featured in ATHICA's fourth exhibition, curated by Paul Galloway, a UGA graduate student in Drawing and Painting.
