Revolutionary Reading Club: Black Power & The Black Panther Party

The Revolutionary Reading Club, created by the Athens Free School, serves curious individuals and sympathetic readers interested in discussing and learning from revolutionary texts. ATHICA will host the club’s 5 biweekly meetings over the course of 8 weeks for the club’s first series which focuses on Black Revolutionaries in the U.S.. Topics range from Capitalism and Domestic work to White Skin Privilege and Black Feminism. Each week builds on the next, forming a zeitgeist of past resistance dating from 1923 to 1977.
